Rock around the block

It’s all about the block heel…

The block heel was seen on the most famous feet during fashion week – even Karl Lagerfeld opted for a mid-height two-tone version for his Chanel models. Taking note of the elegant ease in which these women walked down the runway or trotted the streets, the block heel is a sturdy option for any bride who wants a trendy but comfortable shoe.

The block heel is also referred to as ‘stacked’ or ‘chunk’ and is available in different heights and styles. If you would like your personality to shine at your wedding, choose a bold colour or intricate pattern and make sure your dress length is above the ankle to be able to show them off.  On the other hand, if you are a more traditional bride you might want to choose a nude or white pair in a classic court or strappy style.

A block heel is also the perfect solution for a wedding that is set on an uneven terrain. On trend, they can still be worn long after the big day. Take them from wedding to wardrobe by adding a wider heel to a cropped wide leg trouser or a strappy mid-height block to a bohemian dress for instant comfortable chic.
