An update on the Royal Wedding

By  |  0 Comments

With the Royal Wedding just weeks away, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are ready to celebrate the most important day of their lives. The wedding will take place on the 19th of May 2018 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The Lord Chamberlain’s Office at Buckingham Palace will be taking charge of all organising.

WHO IS ON THE GUEST LIST?

600 guests have been invited but only a select 200 close friends are invited to the evening party at Frogmore House. The dress code for men is uniform, morning coat or lounge suit and ladies will wear a day dress with hat.

BEST MAN AND BRIDESMAIDS?

It hasn’t been confirmed yet but William, the Duke of Cambridge, is expected to be Harry’s best man or take on the role jointly with one of Harry’s childhood friends. Meghan is likely to choose from some of her close friends. Our guesses are Priyanka Chopra, Serena Williams or Jessica Mulroney.

THE DRESS

There is still no confirmation yet on the chosen designer for the wedding gown. However, a standout option is Ralph & Russo, especially since they designed Meghan’s engagement couture gown.

NEW ROYAL TITLES

After marrying Harry, Meghan will become an HRH (Her Royal Highness) and a senior royal. She is also expected to become a Dutchess, as did Kate Middleton after saying ‘I do’ in 2011. For Harry, the tradition is that the male members of the Royal Family receive a title on their wedding day from the monarch. Therefore the most likely title choice for him is the Duke of Sussex. This will make Meghan Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex.
