How to wear pastels on your wedding day

Shades Of Grey

Unlike the ever-popular smoky eye or understated rose gold lids, dove grey shadow is making a serious mark in the world of bridal makeup. Brides tend to stay away from anything considered a ‘trend’ and they don’t want to be too daring. A subtle grey shadow on the lids can look striking when paired with glowing skin, mauve lipstick or a glossy lip and groomed brows. And what’s more, grey is flattering on all eye colours, adds a hint of edginess and looks mega sexy. As seen at Marchesa Fall 2018.

Muted lips as seen at Sachin & Babi F/W 2018 are creating yet another fresh wave in the world. A cross between pink and peach, the matte style creates a perfect focal point that can be paired with a strong eye or a lighter sweep. The shade works on literally every skin tone, and because it’s matte, it will last the entire night.

Royal Flush

For a flushed and fresh take on pastels, Adam Selman S/S 2017 has taken glowy skin, added a baby pink cheek, and used the same colour on the eyes. This creates the illusion of perfectly dewy skin without the layers of concealer to try to hide any redness. Embrace your natural flush and pair the look with a little bit of white or silver liner in the inner corners of your eyes to light up those peepers. Keep brows fluffy and brushed out, and add mascara only if absolutely necessary.
